Does anyone know if Skoda 1.6 engine is interference engine ?

Good question, was looking for the answer to that myself. From what I've gleaned so far is, high compression engines like diesels are interference to allow for closer tolerances and pressure. I have a MkII 07 mpi engine in mine.And, the timing belt is getting to that age.
