Driver seat rocks

Featured Replies

i can feel a slight loosness on the seat it sort of rocks a bit when u accelerate, how can i tighten it up to stop this happening?

hope i havent confused anyone

i think i have the same problem, so any information would be great, Thanks

It will more than likely start squeaking soon aswell, its what normally happens.

I usually replace the seat base when it goes like that.

o , errr anything that wont consume any cash! thought it was only a loose fit thats undone itself

The bolts that hold the frame down will still be tight. The play comes from within the baseframe which is a complete unit. There arent any bolts just pivots and pins. TBH ive never looked that far into it, allways replaced the base under warranty.

My car failed its MOT because the seat was "dangerously" loose. IIRC, they retapped the threads and they were fine. Seat was a little bit less rocky after that, but still rocked more than I'd expect! :D

Thats what they did with mine... all good now.
