the engine light has come on again.it came on abt 3 weeks ago and it was the egr valve (fixed last thursday).

went to pick my mum up from church this morning and pressed the button to unlock the doors and nothinhg happened so had to open the doors with the door levers.got home locked the doors with the key and everything was ok.

went straight out for a ride then after 2miles the engine light came on,the power steering has felt heavy sometimes recently (i told the garage this thursday but the said it was fine, could this be the new fault ?

went to the garage this morning and the compuer says the egr valve is at fault again.its going in all day friday, they're also going to check the power steering.

hope it get's sorted this time !

Wonder id your egr valve is just a symptom of another problem? Like when your ears go deaf if you get a cold, it's not the underlying problem.

it went in yesterday morning to get sorted.picked up this morning and still the egr valve is causing the problem.service manager said the egr filter needs replacing. (not in stock so could take 2-3 weeks to come)

they checked the valve, went for a test drive all fine until they pulled into the garage yard and the engine light came on again.if its not the filter they haven't a clue what it is.

power steering sensor was replaced ands seem's a little better.

Just make sure you are happy with the car before the warranty runs out. It doesnt matter how many times you have to visit the dealership and however many parts get changed, make sure that when the car is out of warranty, it runs like a dream again.
