Hi,

been messed around by garages for the last couple of years so pleased to find a Skoda forum to save cash AND do a better job myself. Got the tools and OK on simple maintenance and repair tasks. Hope to contribute anything new I have learned.

Hi and welcome aboard.

I have a 1.8T 4x4 estate on a 51 plate, much enjoyed as a useful tool.  Bit thirsty and a light has appeared re. the 4x4, but think it's a connection near the rear differential.

Also, have just bought a 1.9TDI estate (5 speed) on an 09 plate with full Skoda service history at 103000 miles with a 6 month warranty.  This has an intermittent uneven tickover, but seems to run ok and returns about 52 mpg on a run.  Has anyone any ideas please.  I'd like an idea before i go back to the garage I bought it from - some miles away.  It has had a new clutch and flywheel 3000 miles ago at a Skoda main agent.

thanks Nick
