Hi everyone. My name is Jan. Found this site while searching for info on the new skoda Octavia. I have just taken delivery of  a new 2014 model in topaz brown. Lovely car although I do have a few issues with a few marks and bits and bobs missing. Hope to get to know you all better. Jan

Welcome to the Forum Jan. Does the dealer know of your issues , or they came to ligjt when you got it home? There have been a few nrw cars recently that have been badly prepared with some swirls scratches or the pre delevery wax stillbon in areas. Hope we all can be of use to you. Cheers Alan

Hi Alan. Have made them aware of issues. The first we spotted just before leaving. There was no sd card containing the maps for the sat nav. They have been made aware of the other 2 issues. " chip marks near the diesel cap. Also the display model had mats with Octavia on them. Noticed ours were plain. They have told us that some come plain and others thick Octavia on. This is not what another local Skoda dealer has told us. They were also going to try and include a free bootliner (plastic type). Then said they could only do one cost price. Now nothing. Bit annoyed with this dealer to be honest. Jan

They taking the mick? You bought car based on what you had seen on display. Therefore unless without prior warning I too would expect the mats to have "Octavia" written on them.

And paint issues on a new factory built car? Wow! Doesnt sound like Skoda are doing themselves justice atm.

That's only a few of the issues :( . Not impressed as this is my first dealings with Skoda. Citroen c4 grand Picasso for last 6 years with no issues. The Octavia is such a great car to drive though  . Seems I'm the only one who got the brown topaz colour though :think: . Jan

A lot of Yetis in that colour. Is the display model still got the mats in . If so say you want those
