cooling fan

HAd my yeti outdoor 170 4x4 dpf for about two weeks now I have noticed that after about 5 trips out when I return home after a long journey the cooling fan runs for a few mins after ignition is switched off the temp is normal is this the dpf regen and how many times should this happen is this normal

Normal - yes. I had it happen more frequently in the first few months with my 170. In my case there's a regular motorway run I do that's just 11 miles - enough for it to get up to temp, start a regen, then park. As long as your light doesn't come on it's not an issue (not seen that in 22K).

Thanks for the quick reply there no warning lights on once I get a few more miles on the clock it will settle down hopefully

Not had this yet on my 170 - but at least now I've read this I know not to worry if/when it does happen!

You may also notice a rubbery burning smell from the exhausts, again all part of a regen.

Ill start to worry if light comes on temp ok no warning lights fans just run for few mins after switchoff ignition apart from that everything is great

As others have stated it's a passive regen and normal but alarming when first noticed, especially with the associated "hot" smell.
