New Octavia mitsumi lead.

Featured Replies

Hey everybody,

We picked up a new Octavia a week ago and ponied up for the mitsumi optional extra, and I'm just wondering if it is supposed to come supplied with the relative leads for connecting to our devices. There was no mention of having to purchase any leads separately, and our previous car, a golf, came supplied with iPod/iPhone 30-pin and USB from the dealership.

The Skoda mitsumi and VW MDI appear to be the same connection, but after plugging the VW's lead into the skoda, nothing happened. No music through the system and nothing showing up in the selection screen.

I'm going to give the dealership a call tomorrow, but I figure this might be a good way to introduce myself to the community since we're stuck with the car for three years :)

Cheers,

Jay.

No the lead doesn't come with the car though some dealers throw them in with the deal. I use a VW 30 pin one for my iPod touch with no problems.

My car came with the 30pin connector lead, dealer said it was shipped with the car. I have an I phone 5 and I've just purchased the adaptor and works ok, no album art work tho.

I got an iPod Dock lead with mine.

I kept the VW one before we sent the car back, and assumed it wouldn't work after trying it with my sisters iPhone 4S (had no luck). Tried it again with an iPod Nano the other day and it worked fine. :/

Terrymcateer: when you say adapter, you mean the lighting to 30 pin that apple sell?

I've noticed there are a few apple-esque things that won't work: such as contact pictures on the dash display (but that seems to be a little hit a miss among android devices too).

It came with the mitsumi lead, 30 pin version with green collar. I purchased the apple 30pin to lightning adaptor separate and I found this worked fine but no album artwork on stereo. I have just recently got the mitsumi lightning conector lead from ebay and shows album artwork for £32
