Has anyone ordered from them lately ? and how long did delivery take ?

I know there have been a few problems in the past.

I realize its still early for delivery but I placed my 1st order with them last week and have had no acknowledgement of payment which I find strange.

Order is marked processing.

On the up side I did get 15% off (thanks again Chris)

 

Only ever ordered once, delivery was slow.

 

I know others have experienced similar issues.

Outside of the Christmas sale I have normally had my order near as makes no difference next day.  Which you would expect  for their expensive delivery charges.

 

Unless you mean you ordered Friday, just give them a call, be polite and friendly about it and I bet you will be well looked after.  Mark and Jackie have for me always been good to deal with.

 

AB took a pasting on Detailing World over the 12 days of Christmas, Christmas Sale, and perhaps deservingly so but people were doing silly things like placing 12 orders per person then asking them to consolidate them all so I do sympathise a bit that they offered huge flexibility to customers and just got a beating over it online.

 

That said, they should have been more prepared to meet the demand they created.

 

In short, you should be fine, if not call them.

 

they normally use DPD so you should be getting texts about delivery day and time slot.

Thanks both for your replies, as I mentioned its still early yet,, but most companies do acknowledge payment.

I will give it a few days then inquire politely as you suggest, don't want to upset them as really fancy a few of their exclusive lines.

If it's a first order, just call up and say as much.  That you've not ordered with them before but heard good things hence the purchase and because a payment confirmation didn't come back you just wanted to ask if everything is ok.

 

I would be shocked if you didn't get a helpful response.

Quick follow up ,made a polite phone call on Tues to Auto Brite and was informed by a helpful lady that my order had been dispatched the previous Friday by Royal Mail.

 

Phoned again Yesterday (Wed) and a gent told me that obviously the parcel had gone missing and he would immediately send a replacement by DPD.

 

This morning (Thurs) the parcel was delivered with a free gift to make up for any delay, so thumbs up to Auto Brite. :happy:

Nice to get a pressie for the inconvenience too.
