How does this sound?

Featured Replies

A detailer local to me is offering this. I showed it to my mate last night and he's going to book his car in. It's a limited time offer I think a small car is usually £85. I've spoken to the bloke, he said it will take 2-5 hours. Tempted to book my Fabia in.

Ignore the price error, it's £65 ;)

If you aren't really into car detailing then I imagine you will be pleased with the outcome.

If you were into detailing then you may be left slightly disappointed. The guy doesn't sound too professional, I imagine hes got a bit more knowledge than your average car washer but doesn't sound like he is fully clued up on it IMO.

That's how that comes across to me.

Just be aware that you are letting someone near your car with tools that can do damage, and many of these amateur detailers selling their services don't have any of the necessary insurance.

Good luck! But I wouldn't go any where near him/them!

Excluding all the spelling & grammatical errors the process is flawed -

*You don't paint cleanse then polish! - you polish first then paint cleanse!

*I'd imagine the paint cleanser contains fillers as a cleanser wouldnt remove paint defects - that's what an abrasive polish does!

*UV isn't an issue on modern, clear coated paint finishes!

Look forward to hearing how your friend gets on!!!! ;)

Just noticed "2-5hours" - it quite often takes me more than 2hours just to wash & decontaminate a car before getting to taping up for machine polishing or the paint cleansing stage!

Does that say 2 and a half hours or 2 to 5 hours?  two to five hours seems a very variable time?

Agree....and TBH..its too cheap to do a proper job

I will give it a miss. 2-5 hours is what baffled me, it often takes me that to do a quick wash on the car haha!
