Fiat Grande Punto Ignition Live

Featured Replies

Somehow I've talked myself in to fitting an new stereo and aerial in to a work colleague's car. I haven't had the chance to have a look around the car myself. It's a 2007 Fiat Grande Punto

Shopping list includes:

Pioneer DEH-X8500DAB

Fascia adapter

Connects2 stalk adapter (so that the steering wheel remote controls still work)

Kinetic DRA-6003 stubby aerial for DAB/FM/AM reception

The aerial has a built in amplifier and requires an ignition live - Fiat is completely different from VAG and appears to only have 16 fuse locations within the car - with many of the fuses serving several different systems, most stuff seems to be controlled by CAN for on off.

I plan to use a fuse tap

There is talk in the manual of a third fuse box in the boot (in addition to the one in the engine bay and the one in the glove box) although there is a possibility of this not being present as it is a fairly basic model.

Just trying to avoid digging out my multi-meter as I'm not sure where it is or if it still works.
