When I bought the Adventure in October I didn't really like the finish of the standard exhaust pipes but wasn't convinced about cutting down the originals to fit the accessory trims.  Then winter happened and I never gave it another thought until the winters came off and the Matterhorns went back on.  Still not convinced by cutting down the original tail pipes I instructed HWMTO (He Who Must Take Orders  ) to do something about it.

Not a bad result for a bit of (someone elses) effort

When I had my car in at Škoda last I asked them to square off my tailpipes.  They did for £45 and I could fit my chrome extensions I have had in a box for two years!

 

 

 

They are a bit more visible from right behind since they are a fair bit thicker than the actual pipes on their own:
