pd100 tdi induction kit

Featured Replies

Hi,

Anyone tried fitting an induction kit to a tdi pd 100 - not vrs.

I tried a universal raid hp kit and found that the circlip kept popping off the pipe as it tightened up against 2 rubber spacer rings - very frustrating.

I would appreciate your comments

Best wishes

I tried a cone filter on the end of the intake pipe, but just got monumental heat soak.

Didn't Jason...Devonutopia...have the Cupra intake pipe and Green Filter fitted to his TDi?

I guess this has a similar effect to an induction kit.

I'd stick with the standard box plus a Cupra intake Pipe but I believe Star Performance fitted a BMC one to a vRS so would of thought it would fit a TDI.

I also tried to fit the Carbonio TDI Cold Air Intake to my car, but it wouldn't work due to trying to get its air from a place there's no space. :o Sent it back. :(

Green cotton filter, cupra intake & a decatted exhaust does make it sound kind of induction-ey like though.

wasn't that a race de-cat? Did you find out the details?

No definetly the Carbonio, I even PM'd him about it as I was interested, he said it was pretty easy to :)

Wasn't easy for me - God knows how you're supposed to butcher the carbon bit of pipework to get it to at least try to follow the OEM route... I tried, and couldn't see anything obvious, so returned it to Awesome before I could do any damage, and be left with the bill and a knackered CAI.

WHY has no one posted any pics of the CAI in a Fabia???? I understand the Star Furby also has it in. Why have no pics been put up then?

Hi,

Guys I don't have any space for the cupra intake because of the fm intercooler.

Re heatsoak with cone filter - did you actually measure the temperature differences?

Best wishes
