Skoda Superb 2006 BOOT lid will not open electronically

Featured Replies

Hi All

My skoda superb has a problem with the bootlid which will not open by pressing the bootlid button or with the switch on the drivers door.

I've checked with a meter and there is no power at the wires when either button is pressed and there's no power at the switch on the door.

My interior lights were not working also which was caused by corroded termianls behind and in front of the passenger seat which I fixed and all the interior lights are now working but its done nothing for the bootlid problem.

I dont seem to be able to find a fuse for the bootlid at the small panel that pulls off at the drivers side

Hi All

Done some more research today and check the wires from the cccm to the boot and everything is fine.

Also checked the plugs on the module and internals and all looks good.

If I disconnect the plug from the module and place power through a 3 amp fuse to the bootlid solenoid eveything works as normal.

I've checked for power at the bootlid door switch but there is no power at any of the terminals.

Everything else on the car is working fine could this be a module fault or is the switch powered from elsewhere?

I don't know the answer, but perhaps give the guys over at Ukpassats a go too - it is the same lock / CCM / etc.

Stating the obvious (a finely honed skill of mine!) perhaps, but are you sure there'a a fault? - with the boot, not the lights.

Mine often feels like it's not opened and needs quite a yank.  I presume it's just the rubber seal sticking.

Hi Gaz

Its defo an electrical problem ,

The boot opens easily if I go into the boot and push the lever.

when I open the boot and put tyhe lock in the closed posistion the and press either of the switches there is no power from the ccm to the solenoid.

Is there any way of checking its operation with VCDS?
