A-pillar with air-bag trim removal

Featured Replies

2007 Scout.

Give this a go earlier, in the same way as a non-airbag one. The Airbag logo is stopping the trim from coming away.

Any suggestions/ideas?

Thanks

There is a screw behind the logo.

Aha! Thank you :)

Logo just pops off then?

Think so.

Yes. Pop it out with a small screwdriver or soft implement.

One edge is retained by a tag in the A-pillar I believe.

Too soft!

The logo part normally needs replacing after it's been taken out.

Just be gentle...

Done. Thank you :)

Always very gentle in removing trim parts, saves trips to the dealers to spend money ;)

Am going to leave the trim off for a couple of days whilst things are installed (RVC, DAB aerial and DVR. Am going to tie-wrap to the existing loom to ensure there's no issue should the air-bag deploy too.

How far back does the air-bag go above the door?
