I have a set of brand new switches for the Multi-functional Steering wheel: £80

 

These switches have the input sockets for the paddleshift plugs - though they will work perfectly fine on a non-paddleshift wheel.

Believed to be suitable for the following vehicles:

• Fabia II Combi (2009 - to date) - from Build date CL 22/2009
• Roomster (2009 - to date) - from Build date CL 22/2009
• Octavia II (2008 - to date) - from Build date CL 45/2008
• Octavia Combi II (2008 - to date) - from Build date CL 45/2008
• Superb II (2008 - to date)
• Yeti (2009 - to date)

Good upgrade if you have a Octavia 3 SE as the blanks can be removed and these can be fitted in place

I have recently purchased a Octavia Estate SE 2014 & miss the steering wheel controls that I had on my previous vehicle. 

 

Would these be suitable for my new vehicle & would they be a "plug & play" addition?

I am fairly sure from the advice given above that yes they will be compatible.

I think the should be plug and play but if not someone with VCDS or VAGCOM could do the necessary for you.
