Finally got round to fitting these.

 

 

I have cast wishbones from Audi TT fitted to my VRS which these sleeves need.

 

Basically these sleeve's make the Cast wishbone as per the original Audi TT wishbone on pre 2000 cars that had far better turn in than the post 2001 car that suffered form under steer.

 

As the diameter of the internal bush is smaller the steering feels a bit more tighter and sure footed. Even with all the poly bushes / caster rear front wishbone bushes I have I can still feel a improvement.

For once I did not tale pics installing as had a mare of a time pressing them in, until i decided to do the proper thing and clean out the wishbones. I placed the bushes/sleeves in the freezer and then on the wishbones used a stone drill piece and took out the roughness and then a drill sanding disc to smooth the wishbone hole out.

 

Then pressed in easy , in fact too easy on one side lol. Was ok when the frozen one warmed up and become tight thank god.

 

happy with results so far , need to take it for a better drive..

Mind you getting back to this subject of thread , last night gave me great use of testing the newly fitted sleeves and wishbone bushes and man they make a hell of a difference to the turn in. Going around those West Meon bends was brilliant test for handling.
