Octavia vRS Mk1 Black

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have a mk1 vRS in black and was wondering what is the best products to get it looking its best.

The car has been a bit neglected over the past couple of years due to kids coming along and not having so much time on my hands.

We also have a white Citigo sport so I would be looking to use the stuff on it as well.

I have been thinking that the octavia might need some sort of paint restorer or something similar. What are the best options here. The car does look good when it is washed and cleaned but I still think the paintwork could be doing with a deep clean. I don't want to spend a fortune on stuff so what is the best options?

Cheers

I used auto finesse 3 in 1 and topped with fk1000p on my black mk1. Looks great and good enough for a casual weekend washer like me for a couple hours effort :)

It will need machine polishing and then protected with sealer and/or wax

It can be done by hand..but its very hard work

However, if you have no access to such a machine:

Gtechnik P1 polish with a hand polishing pad....follow that with a good durable wax like Collinite or sealer ..like Finishkare fk1000p sealer, described above

Poorboys Black Hole glaze works well followed by a good sealant or wax. Like Chris says, FK1000p is great or Jetseal 109 for durability. Im currently using Poorboys Nattys Blue wax and its great!
