k03 to k04 conversion question - inlet related

Featured Replies

Hi

Am converting my 07 vRS to k04 to tide me over until I get the bigger turbo.

I currently have some sort of k&n induction kit on the car, and obviously doesn't have a take off for the DV. What's usually used here? Would prefer not to butcher the existing inlet as I'd not be able to sell it. Don't want to mod the turbo for a dv either, as I'll be selling it too once i fit the gt30. Take it I'll have to buy another rip off inlet system?

you can buy universal adaptor hoses which allow you to plumb in a dv, it's like a kind of T piece with a small 25mm one for a dump valve, you could maybe figure out a way of getting one of those in the system somewhere

I think I'll end up cutting the plastic pipe for the k&n, and stick in one of the t sections with those take offs in. I'll likely reuse it for the gt30 anyway.

Works the very best, got the stage 3 (K04) Revo map on it today

Doh! I've got a Neuspeed K04 intake sitting in my garage collecting dust from my Cupra :)
