2002 Toyota Corolla Verso TSpirit 1.8VVTi 114k miles -

Featured Replies

Just before I advertise it in the local rags or eBay, would anybody be interested in my Dad's Corolla Verso?

Dad's 86, has got dementia and had his licence revoked by his GP this week.  He won't be driving any more.  I'm selling it for him because he is not able to.

It's been Dad's car since I bought it for him in September 2010.

113,705 miles on the clock right now, but will go up slightly as my sister is currently ferrying Dad around.

MOT'd 'til March 2015.

Taxed until September 2014.

Last MOT 112802 miles, 13/03/14

Previous MOTs:

109279 miles, 21/08/13

105999 miles 28/02/13

99076 miles 09/03/12

Dad's dementia is the reason for the additional MOT - garage (Toyota Main dealer would you believe!) started to call Dad to invite him to bring his car in, and he unfortunately is very easily influenced and says yes to everything. So the car passed it's MOT, but the garage still replaced the brakes (not needed), re-gassed the aircon (not needed - I know this coz Dad complained of the heater not working, but he'd inadvertantly switched the aircon on and was frozen by the time he got to my house!) and did various other bits and pieces which were not needed.  Total bill £598.  The garage has been spoken to!

Previous significant work:

Brakes pipes, September 2013 (£242)

MOT/Tyres/Exhaust, March 2013 (£838)

MOT/Oil service, March 2012 (£52)

New Radiator, January 2012 (£272)

New Key, September 2011 (£132)

New clutch, August 2011 (£512)

MOT/brake pads, March 2011 (£148)

I can't find the service book at the moment, so can't list it's service history (I'll update this thread when I've got it), but I can personally assure you that this has been a very well looked after car.

It's a 5 speed manual, with aircon, electric windows, twin sunroof's (both electric).  Good tyres all round, on alloys. Aftermarket reversing sensors with a distance readout on the dash.  Cubby holes all over the place.

Photo's taken this morning, with the car completely unclean.

The stubby aerial is bent. The nearside wiper has some rust on it.  There are some minor dents in the hatch.  Some grazes on the NSF bumper corner.  A very minor dent on the offside rear wheel arch and a cluster of stone chips towards the driver's side of the bonnet/grill area.

All in all a sound car in good overall condition.  I know I'm biased, but it's a car I'd keep if it was only an auto.

Viewing welcome (and encouraged) by arrangement.
