I used a 5L bottle of "brake and part cleaner" when cleaning out my intercooler and pipe work.

Cleaned out my egr valve and inlet manifold at the same time, took them both off the car to do this also.

If your polishing it. Only polish the end caps. Do try to do the main body. It will end in frustration and damage to the cooling fins

I took the cooler off the car and put a hose through it for a while and used some carb cleaner too

Let it dry for a few hours

Refit and run at idle for 20mins to let whatevers left evaporate off

Has anyone any experience of cleaning an egr on a Fabia 2 with the CAYC engine? Could do with some advice about how to get it off.
