Vrs passenger window issue

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has had the same issue as me?

When trying to put the front passenger window down, it will not go down with one touch, rather only very small amounts at a time meaning loads of hitting the down button :(

I've got the car booked in for Monday to have it checked out, but thought I'd ask the question.

Cheers

Col

If you hold the button does it go down?

Nope, only tiny amounts at a time, no matter how long/short I hold the button, and it's only that window.

Hmm, sounds like a problem, mine goes down smoothly if you keep ya pinky on the button.

Yup that's what I was thinking :( ah well that's what's warranty's for I guess.

Mmm, sounds like your window needs resetting. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's something like putting window all way down. Hold button down for a few seconds then window all the way up and hold for a few seconds, or something like that. I seem to remember reading it in a manual. Perhaps someone could clarify that?

Cool, I'll give that a shot and let you know, thanks for the info regardless :)

Turns out the car needs a new control unit, which is getting fitted as I type this :)

Thanks for the replies.

So I got the new control module fitted to the car (that's good) however the one touch still won't work (that's bad).

Apparently the skoda garage is unable to get the new module coded :( they've had the car all yesterday, all today and will be at it all tomorrow as well! Is been referred to Skoda for technical assistance....sigh

Here's hoping it's sorted tomorrow as the 1.2 se octavia is ok but there's a reason I bought the vRS.....
