Which Pads? DA

Featured Replies

I need some new pads for my DA.  I have been looking at the Hex logic ones which get good reviews and are cheapish.

I want 3 pads, heavy, medium and finishing but them seem to do loads of different ones and i'm a bit unsure what to get?!

Can anyone advise on a set of 3 good all rounders?

I mainly use it on my Octy and Fabia but sometimes get called upon to do friends cars which to be fair are mostly german.

Thanks - I have some compound that Chris recommended - can't for the life of me think of the name of it now though, its an all in one in a black bottle.

I also have a set of 4 menzerna compounds which are also running out so I suppose i could do with some new compounds too!  So any recommendations welcome!

Scholl 17+, just found it!

S17+ is a great 'diminishing' polish...a good combination for the White Hexlogic pad

BTW..........its not an all in one polish

Didn't mean an all in one polish, more a one for all, ie use one compound with different pads for the same effect as multiple compounds with multiple pads.

I've got Green, White, Black, Blue and Red. Use white and black mostly!

Sorry....Yes a great polish for a range of pads

OK cool - that's a good diminishing polish and will work with a wide selection of pads.

Just wanted to check on the compound choice - as that is critical for some polish/pad combos.

Certainly worth looking round this weekend with all the Bank Holiday discount codes.

I'm sure you can get a good price on a set of pads to cover S17, maybe a refining stage and/or glaze too.

I've ordered the hex logic ones. They hadn't got black in stock so went for the blue. Ordered some more s17+ and some more blackhole glaze.

Ordered from cleanyourcar. Spent £150 on detailing stuff today now!

I recently bought two MF pads for my DA pro. to do my sons E46.

We all know what the paint is like on those.

I was actually pleasantly surprised at how much quicker it made the job and gve a super finish.

I used these with Wolfs Chemicals polishes.

1)The Correctional Utility

2) The Medium

3) The Jeweller.

Topped with Britemax Vantage.
