Don't know if anyone can throw any light on this.

 

I can select gears fine with the engine off, but once the engine is running I can't select any gear.

 

I'm suspecting this is an issue with the clutch (guessing it's a hydaulic one).

 

Can't see any leaks, but car is a 4x4 so does have a full engine undertray to catch anything that drips.

Might be a synchromesh problem - try selecting reverse gear, it has no synchromesh.  Can't get that either?  Possibly clutch drag. 

Definitely sounds clutch related, it is not fully releasing to allow the gears to engage.

Manged to release the clutch this morning by starting in 2nd (1st didn't work) And been working all day.

 

Hopefully still working tomorrow...
