difficulty fitting coilovers?

Noooo that's not it I'm missing the blue clamp on the bottom of the shock ... Has vw50/55 written on it

Oh that's much more of an issue. It's the adapter so the shocks can be fitted to the 50mm and 55mm hub. I'm guessing your car is a vrs and hence has the 55mm and so needs the adapter?

How the hell did that mechanic loose it? You never throw anything away when doing work on a car until it's all finished and right! Can he look again and see if he can find it or he should 've paying for the replacements as his fault

Your "Mechanic" friend sounds a right incompetent idiot........who does he work for as a mechanic?

An Alfa specialist ...

I feel it would be quite harsh to name them as it's not the garage that did the work but an employe ...

I hope his work on Alfa's is checked by his boss before customers get their car returned to them.

Should have had loads of practice working in an Alfa garage aswell lol

Haha yeah it does seem a lot buster than most of the garages in the estate where it it ... Nothink to do with the fact it just for alfa's of anything lol
