Columbus Hardware Revision

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Sorry for yet another post on this topic, but despite extensive searching I haven't managed to work out what hardware revision my Columbus unit is and therefore what firmware versions are possible.

The menu on long press of setup gives the following information:

Delivery part number: 3T0 035 680 C

HW-Version: H55

SW-Version: 3984

It is a 61 plate Superb, and has v9 maps installed.

Could anybody help me?

Thanks in advance!

I also own a '61 plate November 2011 Superb (Estate Excellence) and your Columbus is just slightly older than mine.

I upgraded the firmware from 3984 to 5270 last Christmas and it works just fine, although the only noticeable difference is Radio data (ie. details of programme being transmitted) and another, more detailed, 'secret' menu displayed by holding the Setup button for even longer.

I also upgraded to v10.0 maps (8048) so my version info now looks like this...

Delivery part number 3T0035680K

HW-Version H61

SW-Version 5270

Active map coverage West Europe

Active map supplier Navteq

Map version DVD 8048

5270 I believe is the latest firmware.

Many thanks, I shall have a look for 5270 and attempt an upgrade!

Thanks - I had a look at that but couldn't find either the part number or HW version, and wasn't sure how the VW versions convert to the Skoda ones. All rather confusing!

The part number (035 680) should be the same for all Columbus / RNS510 derivitatives.

The 1T0 is the originating vehicle (VW Golf. 3T0=Superb. 1Z0=Octavia).

The suffix letter, if it exists, gives and indication as to the revision of the part.

HTH.

That's very helpful indeed, thank you.

No problem.

I probably asked the same question a few years back.
