VRS 30k service

Featured Replies

Does anyone know whats supposed to be done on a 30k service on a VRS?

When i bought my car last week i said i wante a full service doing before i picked it up (it's done 31k) - i changed the filter to a green 1 yesterday (first mod) and the standard one i took out was black at the bottom so thats not been changed, the fuel filter looks rusty at the top so that hasn't been changed either and neither have the 2 bald front tyres :(

Why did you not ask for new tyres before delivery?

Hi

Yes the 30k service the oil and filter is the only thing to be replaced.

40K you change the oil , air , fuel and pollon filters.

Agree you should have told them to replace the front tyres.

Then it could be worth getting the tracking checked at the same time.

Good choice of car though.

The Green Cotton Filter is also a very good 1st mod.

I was told when i agreed to buy the car it would have a "full" service before i picked it up so i expected everything to be done, the 2 front tyres are down to the min tread wear indicators (the bit in the tread is level with the tread) and 1 of them has a damaged sidewall.

Having checked everything over this morning (i only picked the car up yesterday) the oil is just above min and the coolant is at min - what sort of service is this from a main dealer??????????

The car is to be collected from my work next week (so i have to drive on dodgy tyres for a week) due to the fact other bits weren't done as promised before collection, the question i'm asking myself now is do i want the car? i know when all the bits are sorted it'll be ok but i'm so cheesed off

What's the story with the 30 day exchange with approved used cars from Skoda? can i have a full refund and my p/x back or is an exchange the only option?

i've just emailed the dealers (fao sales manager) noteing all the problems and telling him i want them all rectifing when the car goes back in or i will take it further.

I will also phone the salesman this week to give him chance to consult with their service dept so they can order parts in before the car goes in for the work so they can't say they don't have parts in stock and need the car yet again (so the 30 days passes) - i think i'm being as reasonable as possible? i just expect the car to be how it should have been upon collection.

Which dealer is it? I'm from Yorkshire too !! LOL
