Octavia Wheel sensor wiring

Featured Replies

Hey guys, first post on here so hoping i can get some answers.

My Octavia has had the ABS light and ASR light on so booked it into the garage today.

Was told it was a wheel sensor and it would be £110 for the sensor plus labour.

First of all, looked on ebay, sensors going for under a tenner so wtf?

Also, got a call from him infroming me the sensor had been changed but the lights were still on, and ONLY then did they decide to check the wiring that connects the wheel sensor to the car. Turns out the wire is frayed and snapped in many places and has been patch jobbed.

Finally to get to the point. i've been told by him that the wiring is a skoda part so i have to get in touch with a dealer in order to get a new wiring set for it.

Can anyone tell me is this fact or can i find an after market part or even a branded part on ebay?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers :D
