Air conditioning probs. Skoda Octavian estate. 2 litre tdi

Featured Replies

Anyone got any advice? 2006, Laurent and kale meant Skoda Octavian. Losing cold effectiveness over 2 days.

Air con fluids topped up with some dye. Can't spot the leak.

Any advice?

Don't just top up the fluid - get it changed.

Have the same problem with my L&K Octavia. Had it regassed but no effect, called in local air con expert who had quick check and has diagnosed either a faulty valve on the compressor or possibly a failed compressor. He is coming back to check part numbers and dimensions of the compressor as there are many different models. End result will be a bill between £200 and £350!

If it's a faulty pressure sensor, £22 on eBay, 5 minutes to replace.

last year my aircon stopped working, would work for a few days after a regas then fail again. Although there was no leak visible i was advised it was probably leaking from the back of the condensor, got a mate to put a new one in and its been fine ever since.

The compressor and the condensors both have issues on early versions where they just spring a leak.

I had mine replaced under warranty (both).

The gas just goes completely as it gets dumped.
