Thanks for the replies, had the car in for investigation of rattle going over bumps and potholes etc at Skoda Hawco Inverness and it appears to be the sunroof. While investigating they found the glovebox stay loose and connected it.

Having done 144000 miles in my 2010 Octavia L&K Estate I finally bit the bullet and now have a 2019 Octavia L&K Hatchback. I'm trying to fit my Nextbase dashcam but can't drop the passenger side glovebox down so I can expose the fuse box. The manual is no help at all and I don't want to force anything as Skoda plastic can be very expensive. By the way the 2019 car isn't as well built as the 2010 model, just sayin'.

Thanks, Paws4Thot. According to Chatgpt, it is possible to swap things over, but it's way too complicated for me. I'm going to bring the headlight indoors overnight to warm it up and see if the condensation clears then see if I can get some silica gel packets in.

2010 L&K Octavia Estate. Nearside Xenon headlight condensation. I've tried the hot air method and leaving the lights on for a while but still have condensation. I bought a unit on Ebay but it's halogen, is it possible to change the glass over? Thanks

Hi, Had my rear wiper motor changed on my 2010 Octavia Mk2 L&K some time ago. since then its operation has become more and more erratic sometimes not operating at all, sometimes comes on when rear washer selected and sometimes it comes on and stays on until car stopped and the engine switched off, very annoying.

Noticed that the reflection of my dipped beam headlights on the white van in front had one white and one pink! Any ideas what has caused this?

I replaced the Columbus Satellite antenna on my 2010 L&K Octavia and all went well at first but now the red triangle icon seems reluctant to leave home and sometimes it would stop at a destination and then refuse to start. At other times it would suddenly go off-road and has even been afloat in Findhorn Bay! I'd appreciate any help. Thanks Bob

Can I replace the windscreen in my Mk2 Octavia with a heated screen?

Just had the rear windscreen motor changed by local garage but now it doesn't wipe straight after pressing the lever. After two or three tries it will wipe roughly 3 times then park itself. It is also making a squeaking noise at both ends of its travel similar to rubber on a dry screen, quite loud and annoying. Took it back to garage and was told it sounded normal but it was never like that with the old motor.
