Ordered my new digital box from mrhoot and its coming to work tomorrow. Just wondered if anyone can tell me what tools I need to take cause hopefully want to fit it during work ready for a blast on the way home. Also any tips on fitting. I checked mrhoot website and the instructions seem a little vauge.

I did check the search but could find nothing about it.

all you need is a spanner to fit your batery clamps.5 min job,i put the unit in the batery box

Are they all there cracked up to be. Mate at work has leon cupra TDI and he is having his tomorrow to so gonna fit both and then race! On a private track of course.

Take a small socket set as above it needs a connection to the battery. I'm not sure if you've ever lifted the battery cover but its in 2 parts, you only need to lift the top part and attach it there. The actual unit needs to be wedged somewhere, behind the airbox seems quite good. Oh and small fingers and the patience of a saint as the plug can be a pig to get back on, getting off is easy.

Way I fitted mine was:

1)Remove Top engine cover! It just pulls off.

2)Remove screw from the airbox inlet pipe, disconnect and remove pipe.

3)remove both covers from the battery.

4) Put the box between the airbox and battery box, with the wires pointing towards the wing.

5)Run the wires around the front of the battery box, disconnect engine multiplug attach to tuning box and then reattach to motor. It can be a tw*t to refit the plugs!

6)Connect + and - and hide the fuse bit in the battery compartment.

7)As the Haynes manual says: Refitting is the reversal of removal!

8)switch on your engine and make sure everything works as it should!

9)Go for a blast

Don't have to do it this way, just think it looks neater! You don't get much more top end, it's the midrange it really works!!!!
