strange happenings with my electric mirrors

Featured Replies

my car went into the garage last week to have a new electric window motor fitted on the drivers side, when I collected it, the first thing I noticed the drivers window switch seemed to work the wrong way round and when I locked the car the passenger mirror folded in as normal but the driver one stayed out and also the next morning when i went to my car the drivers window was down, the next day this also happened, so i investigated and poured water over the rain sensor and guess what the window opened, I have since taken my car back to the local dealer, they have tried to fix the problems but with no joy, however when they put the old motor back in everything works as it should apart from the initial problem with the window, the window goes up if you gently feather the switch, but if you press the switch once it closes but comes straight back down, my car is a 2011 octavia elegance with maxi dot, rain sensors, electric folding mirrors, at present i am driving around in a courtesy car, which I have had since last week, please help as I want my car back.

If the coding is wrong that can cause thing to work differently

Also if they have fitted the wrong part that could also cause issues

they are saying its coded correctly as Skoda have checked it remotely and the part number is correct?

Then they must be right, let them figure it out

Coding, someone with vagcom could see if the coding value is the same as other side, they both have the same coding.
