Featured Replies

Hi iv jus signed up 2 the forum because i have a question.

I own a new Fabia Sport 1.4 16v, the problem i have is that i would like to put a K&N air filter kit in my car but as the standard air filter box is hidden under the engine casing i dont know HOW 2 fit it??? I basically dnt no how to open my engine casing, and was wondering if it would also effect my warrenty????

please help

thanks

Have a search on this site as I think someone posted some detailed instructions. Believe the engine cover takes a bit more coaxing to get off on the 1.4 than the 1.9 TDI! Warranty-wise, yes it will void your warranty, technically, but whether it would be noticed is unlikely. Just make sure they don't change it for a paper filter at a service!!!

Chris

Where abouts are you?

The engine cover just pulls off then you undo the numbered screws.

Ummm - no! Replacing the Skoda OEM air filter with a performance one will ;)

Chris

I realised you are in the uk..lol

I doubt the would be able to tell you have undone the screws.

You pull the cover up and of after disconnecting the breather pipe on the lh side then the screws are easy to get to.

You don't live on Tinkers Bridge in Milton Keynes by any chance do you :D
