they say it has some problems with the handling but aparantly the engineers are really keep to sort ot out as its not a problem when the computer sorting it out for you but if you turn it off the problems become aparant. aparantly they think you shouldnt try to hide a flawed chassis with software so they will sort it aparantly.

its a 1.5 with 125 bhp 0-60 at the mo is 9 seconds but they say it will be faster than that when it comes out

all in all they liked it and thinks it showes great potential

Pre-facelift Mk3 Mondeo also has these :D

Sorry.Audi nicked it from Ford then skoda from audi etc etc.Common as muck I say :D

Swift will be C2 territory luke warm hatch.Cheap insurance, low price etc and a return to the old swift GTI (which I thought was great 15 years ago or whenever it was before they lost the plot  )

Won't be a barnstormer hatch even if they do reckon quicker 0-60 on release IMHO :)

If it's anything like the Ignis sport then it'll be a cracker.

Suzuki tend to make good little warm hatches with ugly bodies and little credibility.

Maybe the swift will be a bit more mainstream for them.

i think the swift looks great only problem i can see with it is depreciation

IMO I think ~125 BHP/tonne will be considerably faster than 8.5 seconds... It weighs a little more than a match box and a little less than vole... It'll be a fast 'lil bugger.

Looks good and is quite well specced for 11k... Look forward to seeing and playing with one on her majesty's highways... Now, where did I put that number for Jabba....? :):D

Am I the only one who thinks it looks gash? A bit like a tall old shape Micra. Yuk!

As for 125 bhp / tonne, thats what my Golf kicks out pretty much, and it isnt that much faster than 8.5 to 60...

yeah but gearboxes can do great things :)

i think they may increase power and just not tell anyone like with skylines and the such like they claim 255 but its more

oh and the japanese version is 5 door the uk version will be 3 door

It looks like an upturned bucket, the shape that you made sandcastles with when you were a kid..

or the love child of Postman Pats van and a Nissan micra

i think they may increase power and just not tell anyone like with skylines and the such like they claim 255 but its more

Reason the Jap manufacturers did that was because they had an agreed limit of 278 (not 255) BHP so as not to spark off a power war. All cars from agreement onwards were supposedly no more than that figure. The Skyline GTR V-Spec dyno'd at 330 bhp but was officially only 278bhp.

They've dropped it now so we've recently been seeing some really cool stuff and will continue to do so...

Paul, I agree - it looks cr@p, but I think more like the new Micra?

there have also been a few othe manufacture's that miss quote bhp figures to get lower insurance groups

Am I the only one who thinks it looks gash? A bit like a tall old shape Micra. Yuk!

Agreed - I think it looks like they tried to rip off the mini cooper and failed by a mile, it's god-awful :thumbdwn:

or a street version of skoda yeti.. one way or the other, I agree with the previous post - in general god-awful. then again, as a suzuki think it's ok.. they've lately produced some of the most hideous cars around and this is an improvement.
