Help! Broken GPS receiver plug!

Featured Replies

Lent my tomtom to someone a while back, and it came back with the complaint that "it didn't work". Upon closer inspection, it's clear that one of the connections on the RJ11 plug has broken - and I'm a bit stuck for how to get it fixed :(

The only local general electronics shop (that I know does repairs) were helpful but didn't have the crimping tool needed to put a new plug on! Before I start trawling the yellow pages for networking companies, does anyone have any ideas? Going away on Sunday, and it would be rather helpful to have functioning satnav!

Sorry i've missed this but any telecoms company should the correct crimpers, you could even ask a BT man if you see one sat by the road. I've got the crimper in the back of the car if you're anywhere near County Durham?

I can crimp things. Anywhere near bedford?
