I did originally post this in ask a tech, but it doesn't appear to have got much mileage up there so I thought I would try in here.

 

I know this is not a Skoda question, but it is a VAG car so someone may be able to help me if I'm lucky.

 

My Daughter's boyfriend has just bought a SEAT Leon 1.6 on an 08 plate. It is a 1P (1KO) chassis, my question is this, what does he need to get to enable cruise control?. I know he will need the new indicator switch, But what looms if any will he need?.

 

Also, are power folding mirrors able to be enabled on this car, as they don't appear to be the boomerang spring back type like the Octy.

Cruise control could possibly just be a switch, it depends on the steering column control unit and it it supports it.

Mirror wise if you don't have the motorised folding mirrors then the can't be just activated. It's a completely different mirror.

Thanks for that Techie, so he probably wont need any loom bits then?, How could I tell if the control unit supports cruise, I have done a VCDS scan, would it be listed somewhere there?.

 

Really appreciate the help, was going to get the bits for him for his birthday once I know what to get.
