Thought I'd sign up to try and find others experiences of the latest gen VRS. Just about to receive my latest diesel VRS estate in Meteor Grey on 14th July. I currently have a white 2011 diesel estate DSG, prior to that a black diesel estate manual on a 57 plate, before that a 1.9 diesel estate (ambience?) which got washed away by the River 7 in the 2007 floods.

Just spent the week working in Ireland driving a gen3 hatch with a weedy 1.2TFSI, I was really surprised as it could cope 5 up + luggage with ease.

Was passed by a latest gen VRS estate a couple of weeks ago and I struggled to hang on, can't wait for the 14th

Hello and Welcome to the forum!

Looking forward to hearing/seeing more detail when the new beast arrives!

Cheers, my old ones only done about 60k but it's getting tired and rattly now. What strikes me most about the new one, other than the extra space, power and other upgrades is the attention to detail and reduction of road noise.

Can't wait to get rid of this old banger now

:)
