Yes, it seems possible it might be a duff CCM. The other option I was thinking is the boot latch / lock micro switches, but given you say the boot opens when using the boot open switch on the remote I think that can be disregarded.

Have you opened up the CCM and looked for signs of water damage on the circuit board and connectors? Did it get submerged when the leak happened?

It looks fine to be honest no corrosion but, I guess it's possible its had a bath at some point certainly the central door locking and windows were playing up and it's been leaking for some time looking at the mould in the floor.
