Scotts Paint Sealant and Protector Any good?

Featured Replies

I was working in a Vauxhall Garage yesterday and I got chatting to the valet guy. To cut a long story short he gave me a bottle of Scotts what he called polish, the bottle which looks like a small aerosol can says Paint Sealant and protector.

Has anyone used it? He told me to apply it with a cloth then wait 30 mins and buff off. It seems to me like it might be a AIO, a bit like Carlack 68 NSC.

I'm reluctant to use it on mine but I may try it on my Mums car when she gets her new one.

Any thoughts

Never heard of it

Is this it?

That's the stuff the bottle on the right although this bottle has the newer design, black background and has safegard written across the bottom.

I've got a funny feeling it's licensed and not available to the general Public. I also had a can of the upholstery Protectant given to me a while back but gave it to my uncle (wish I didn't now lol).

So anyone with any info especially anybody who works in a main dealership

After a little research, it appears to be similar stuff to Auto Glym Lifeshine

It will be ok for a couple of months and then it will need topping up

I would give him it back or just use it on your alloys TBH

Thanks Chris, I wasn't expecting miracles to be honest and I got given it for nothing so I'll keep and will probably use it on the work van or my Mums car.

I already have a sample pot of Finish Kare Hi-temp 1000p for the alloys so no need for anything else.
