one-touch window not working

Featured Replies

Had an odd one a few days ago; the front passenger window wouldn't do the one touch up and down thing.

Not a massive problem in itself, however what i also discovered as a walked away from the car was that the remote window close didn't work on that window either - the window just stayed open whilst the others closed.

It seems to have reset itself now and works fine but now I'm no longer confident that the car is secure when I leave it without walking round it to check all the windows.

Common problem or one off?

I had a similar problem once on another VAG car (Audi) but after turning off engine and restarting it didn't happen again. I wondered if the window had 'stuck' at somepoint during opening / closing and had gone into some sort of 'limp mode' for windows!

It happened to me once - after the window "force limiter" was actived. Snippet from manual...

If you attempt to close the window again within 10 seconds of the window being moved down for the second time, even though the obstacle was not yet been re- moved, the closing process is only stopped. During this time it is not possible to automatically close the window. The force limiter is still switched on. The force limiter is only switched off if you attempt to close the window again within the next 10 seconds - the window will now close with full force! If you wait longer than 10  seconds, the force limiter is switched on again.

If you open the window then close it and keep finger on button to close till it clicks it will now be reset.

If it ever stops raining, I'll give it a try

I don't know if it's Yetis, Skodas VAGS or all eCars, weird stuff happens it seems to me.

Had a problem when the current yeti was new, with the window opening when the drivers door was closed (wet seat) done a reset never happen since, I have done a reset on all the windows to make sure they are all set properly.  Also had the same thing as you on my new van lost one touch open and close done a reset and all working again.  Modern gizmos don't you love them some times :D

Using the search and finding this has just saved me a trip to the dealers, so thanks.

My drivers window has had this issue for a week or so now for some unknown reason and now it's fixed. I found that I had to also open it fully, with finger still on it, until it kind it clicked. Magic.
