ok,then is quite bad...disanssembling the gearbox in half is not a simple job

At the moment its not too bad. Its coming from 1 area on the bottom of the box. Im not sure if its ok to drive far tho.im after driving about 500 miles in september will it hold. Last thing I want is for it to drop the lot.

As any fluid leak always follows the line of least resistance - i.e straight down, are you sure it is not running down from above?, also have you smelt it to make sure it is gearbox oil and not another fluid?.

 

You have a couple of switches  and sensors up top there, they aren't weeping are they?.

 

Just seems odd the box would leak after an oil change, unless the extra oil has built up pressure. Does anyone who has had one of these boxes down know if it has a breather on the box?, all my jap car boxes had one, if so is it blocked?.

 

Just a thought before you go tearing it down, hope it helps.

Well when I put too much oil in it blew by the driveshaft seals so im guessing this is why this has appeared. Its definitely from the box. Where I tried to seal on the casing it has discoloured and leaked around it. Ill check the sensor on top anyway as it wont hurt.
