Fleet of Yetis - second hand

Featured Replies

Today I picked up a friend from Telfords Skoda Garage, Carlisle and was amazed at the large number of 2nd hand Yetis for sale. I would think a dozen or more, though I didn't count. They explained that it was mainly due to people trading in for the FL model. There was one identical to mine, a 61 reg 170 elegance Muscavoda with 8000 miles. Going for £18200. No idea whether that was high or low..

When leaving, a very strange Yeti parked up alongside me. I first assumed a police vehicle as it was yellow/ red marked K9 support unit with video camera installed on roof and blue lights on roof.. Then on passing behind it, it was marked "Fire" so I think must be a fire support vehicle, though dogs and video seemed strange. But what was fascinating was that it was a van. Never seen a Yeti van in the UK before but did see one in Prague.

Dog use within the Fire Service is becoming increasingly popular. They are used to "sniff" out the use of accelerants in fires that are suspicious.

They aren't a van, just that the rear windows are vinyl covered. There was a similar unit being used by the local Police Dog Section, which I think was a SUK Demo unit.

Not one of them with a sunroof!

I've seen a Fire one like that.

As said, it was stickers on the windows rather than a van.

£18k for a 2.5 year old Yeti?

Wowsers.

With so many to shift you'd think they'd be keener on the pricing.
