Have read issues with twin boot wiring problems have a similar problem but I have power to boot buttons, boot opens, hatch doesn't and boot wont close down fully, motors not working  so driving around with boot slightly ajar but luckily no warning ding dongs. 

wiring loom possibly? any body help?

definetly wire loom, prob is in your arm of the sedan - loom gets pinched where it enters the arm, good post on this site showing how to fix called "Twin door wiring fix" pictures included, think its in the technical guides, fixed my own following the instructions
