Best blog, social site for aggregating information

Featured Replies

Trying to find the best way of presenting information in a public / semi-public way.

At work I aggregate a lot of information for information security (cyber security if you like your buzzwords), I have a massive amount of information to keep an eye on to do this and it all comes out through various platforms RSS, Twitter, blogs, email and normal web.

I'd like to find a better way to keep all of these sources in one place if possible and make it available to others. I mainly concerned with our IT people but I'd be happy for other organisation to look to. I'm only thinking about aggregating publicly available information anyway. I'm not planning on putting much out myself.

I'd like to have twitter feeds, possible multiple twitter feeds (Using tweet deck to do it on a desktop), rss feeds from various blogs and sites and the abiliyt to post occasional you tube videos or linked new stories.

I'm struggling to find anything that does that all, for free in a wysiwyg way. I don't want to get into building websites. think more about widgets and gadgets.

Internally we have share-point but tbh it could be 18 months before I can get the bits I want if ever. I had a look at Blogger but since Google owns it they don't like Twitter.

Facebook might be possibility but I can't see apps for that.

Any suggestions?

To do all formats from one app, I don't think you find a free version.
