Caliper paint

Featured Replies

Hello guys, no doubt this will sound like a silly question.

I need to paint a new brake caliper so that it matched the others. I've found somewhere that sells Pantone 348C Green high temperature engine paint which i believe is the correct colour code?

I was just wanting to check this is correct, also what sort of finish would give the best match, it is available as "Matt", "Satin", "Semi Gloss" or "Gloss"

Cheers guys

Pretty sure Hammerite smooth green is about the closest match to the original colour.

Pretty difficult getting hold of the stuff though... can only find "smooth dark green"

Smooth Green Hammerite was discontinued.

You do occasionally find part tins coming up for sale on here (as per this thread) but they do get snapped up super quick (again as per that thread!)

348 is gunna be there or thereabouts colour wise

I'd probably go for matt finish if it was me they're only gunna be covered in brake dust after 10 miles anyways

ive got a few 500ml smooth green hammerite tins :)

all brand new and never used
