20k Service

Featured Replies

Just got my vRS serviced at Jewson Skoda in Oxford. Came to a total of 220 quid including new wipers and an a/c antibacterial service. How does this compare with other dealers? Compared to some of the services I had on my old Fiat, I'd say it's rather reasonable.

I've always been very impressed with Jewson, always very courteous and my car has come back nicely cleaned inside and out. I'm also beginning to get a bit of a stockpile of the unused oil and screenwash that they give me with a few handwipes (again, that never happened with Fiat).

One thing I was surprised about is the lack of tyre wear I'm getting from the Conti SportContact II. I was expecting to have had to get a new front pair by now, but they still have 5mm of tread left (the unused spare has 8mm), while the rears have 7mm. I suppose this is due to most of my miles being on the motorway, or maybe I'm just too gentle :D
