ESP AND Low pressure light on?

Featured Replies

Anyone know why this is happening? Only for a few days it's been happening.

Also my engine light comes on when I boot it (vRS) that might be because it needs a service though,

Does the Low Tyre Pressure light come on because you have tyres at low pressure compared to the Pressure the Tyres were at when the TPMS

was last set.?

Do you possibly have Engine Warning lights showing, 'EPC' or Exhaust Control System,

just as you say, because it needs serviced and possibly new Spark Plugs?

Both things are easy enough to check & then resolve.

Mis-set tyre pressure changing the rolling radius of one wheel and hence resulting in it showing as spinning faster than the other on the same axle?

abs sensor? Try resetting the TPS button if not done so already.

How do you reset the TPS Button?

Suppose I could make sure all the tyres are same pressure as I did have two new tyres out on yesterday but it happened when I had the 15s on so I just put it down to that.

There is that part answered.

The TPMS Button is beside your Hand Brake.  once you set the Tyre Pressures you reset.

Ignition on, hold button for 2 seconds.

Hear the Noise, see symbol on dash.    That is also the check you do from time to time.

If the pressures are incorrect when you set the TPMS then thats you set it at that.

all in the Owners Manual.

Slightly worrying when Modders & Sporting Drivers do not look at the Basics before going on with driving cars.

Ah yes I've tried that but doesn't do anything when both those lights are lit, so I have looked at the basics as you put it.

Do you mean when the vehicle is stationary Pressing the TPMS Button for Test & Reset does nothing ?

Then it is Faulty,

which is why it has the 'Test' function.

If the buttons working, there will be a bong when pressed. My tyre pressure light came on a few weeks ago and i had to turn the car off, then back on, then press the reset button while moving. At first when i tried to reset, i pressed the button, it bonged, but the lights stayed on.

IIRC, the vag systems use the ABS sensor to work out if a tyre is deflating. There isn't an actual pressure gauge in each tyre to measure this.

DONT DISCONNECT THE BATTERY as this will cause issues with power steering too if you have an abs fault.
