I have a problem with my fabia 2003 1.9tdi

 

Sometimes when i accelerate hard and take my foot off the throttle the idle speed stays up as if the throttle is sticking on for approx 30seconds.

 

ive been told its possibly a Engine ECU fault

 

If i get another ECU thats compatible can this be programmed into my car?

 

 

Would be surprised if the ecu was faulty, , more likely a faulty accelerator problem. To change the ecu you would need the SKC code from the donor vehicle and the code on your ecu.A diagnostic check with VCDS would be the best soloution.

Changed a fair few pedals for the same fault on the Fabia.

pedal has been changed and no better.been to a dealer and they have had an engineer down from skoda technical to see this vehicle.onl;y thing left they said would be a ECU change as they had run out of ideas
