I'm going to be buying a DA polisher to finally 'sort' my paint out best I can. I'll be looking at getting the DAS-6 I think. 

My main jobs will be removing some bad bird poo etchings, some light scratches and reducing some relatively bad scratches as well as maintaining the paint afterwards. What pads do I need for this?

I've got some G3 compound and Autoglym ultra deep shine already in my arsenal, will these do the job? 

I'm not looking under a microscope for swirls or anything like that, I just want to tidy it up to a point I feel happy with to maintain.

G3 compound is a little harsh....used mainly for deeper scratches and polishing after wet sanding

If just removing light scratches/swirls get some Gtechnik P1 and a medium Polishing pad..or G3 Scratch remover from Halfords

Hexalogic are good (Less harsh than G3 compound)

Oops, sorry I meant G3 Scratch remover, not compound.

So, going off these hexlogic pads I need the green one for the bird poo etchings and scratches used with the G3 Scratch Remover, then follow that with the black pad with autoglym to finish?

Have you bought a DAS6 I have one for sale it's only been used around 12 ish times still has around 8 months ish warranty on it.
