Hooked

So while waiting on my new octavia vrs I've been reading this section.

Years ago I would spend all day polishing my nova, that carried on for many cars. Then a house renovation meant nice cars had to be a thing of the past.

Now after years of saving I have been able to get a nice car again., and the cleaning bug is back.

So the bucket and sponge are gone! Started practicing on the wife's black fiesta, snow foamed, shampooed with a megs wash mitt. Then went over it using a g3 clay mitt, used the shampoo as a lube. Now polishing in with some meguiers, then glazed with poor boys black hole then a coat of Sonax bsd.

Now looking at getting a da, expensive business this cleaning!!!!!

You're at the top of a slippery slope now, soon there will be no return.......you'll become a sneaky online buyer, hinding stuff in the garage from the other half.....

joking aside a good DA is a worthwhile addition to your equipment, as it makes the correction stages that much quicker and more successful than trying to do them by hand and the wax or sealant application quicker too if you use the liquid type. I couldn't believe the benefits when ChrisRS showed me how to use one on mine. I've now removed loads of scratches on SWMBO black Seat that passed the fingernail test that have been annoying me for ages. I have a megs 220, but there's a new one from cleanyourcar.co.uk that's getting good reviews.

Good advice from Ade there

The new DAS 21 is an awesome machine!!

Not sure it would be OK for you though

You might be better with the basic one before you move onto the 21.

You can always sell it and move up if you need to
