good indie - Beds / Herts / Bucks?

Featured Replies

My vRS will soon be 3 years old, and 40,000 miles.

I don't generally like to use main dealers, had some poor experiences in the past with other makes.

Can anyone recommend a good indie around MK / Luton / Bedford area?

I think the 40k is a major service + DSG oil change?

Thanks

TTS Roadsport in Bedford. Google their website.

Unit18 in MK

Unit 18 for me too. 5 years using them now and can't fault them

vagtech in mk used last couple of years and have been fine

Thanks for the input.  I'll give unit18 a try, as MK is easy for me to get to.

I'm just arranging for them to fit my lowering kit first, then will worry about the boring bits like servicing afterwards :)

Another  for Unit 18

I have used Unit 18 a couple of times - for servicing and fitting parking sensors. I will be back there next month when my Fabia vRS is due a service and next year too when it is due a cambelt change.

I've only had one experience (in 2009/10, so a while ago) with U18, and it wasn't something that would encourage me to return or recommend them.

I'm pretty shocked at that link, mainly because I've had (and watched) Alistair do welding for me on my car and that looks a million miles away from the work I've experienced, bit strange!

Likewise- I had  clutch change ,whilst Ali did a host of jobs, very professional set up  IMHO .Bit far to go for routine work but not far for specialist jobs.

Just thought I should give a quick update.

I booked my car in to unit18 to have my H&R kit fitted.  I cheekily turned up with a RARB as well, and asked if they could fit it at the same time.

A few hours later, they called to say the car was ready, H&R and RARB fitted, alignment done.

No hassle, no problems, and a very fair price for the job.

I'll be back next month for the 40K service and DSG oil change
